• Universal Peace Organization (UPO) is dedicated to developing peace through education and understanding. We work to engage in becoming a teaching learning community. In the changing global world today civil participation, service-learning and education assistance can facilitate our communities in accommodating social, environmental, economic transformations of rapid transformations. UPO-GLR works to accommodate the increase of change and assist in processes of developing teaching learning communities and building teaching-learning relationships.

• U.P.O. is sustained by contributions of time and financial resources of members, clients, community partners and organizations. UPO provides support and resources to assist and facilitate education and research that occurs through formal and informal education practices and institutions. We primarily work as educators, learners, and researchers, often simultaneously.

• U.P.O. projects and activities are developed by educators, students, and community members in areas of education, social justice, environmental sustainability, and community service.
